French President Macron discussed with Ukrainian President Zelenskyy the possibility of Trump convincing Putin to halt aggression in Ukraine. Macron emphasized that Ukrainians should lead peace talks. Zelenskyy stressed the need for a joint US-Europe strategy for just peace. Trump and Putin agreed to start negotiations to end the Ukraine conflict.
